与PVC塑料行业良好发展预期形成鲜明对比的是，产品的化学安全问题一直是挥之不去的阴影。个别生产企业为降低成本，以次充好，甚用回收料代替。然而，相关检测标准缺少对各类被非法使用的添加剂、尤其是感观明显的挥发性有机物的环保风险检测。因此，制定了国家标准《消费品—塑胶材料—邻苯二甲酸酯类增塑剂快速筛选》（GB/T 39110-2020）。

The chemical safety research of various consumer products in China is still at a relatively preliminary stage.
