HJ/T 34-1999 Determination of vinyl chloride in exhaust gas from statio nary pollution sources-Gas chromatography
1 Scope of application
1.1 This standard is applicable to the determination of vinyl chloride in organized and unorganized emissions from statio nary pollution sources.
1.2 When the chromatographic injection volume is 3ml, the detection limit of the method is 0.08mg/m3, the lower limit of the quantitative determination is 0.26mg/m3, and the upper limit can reach 1×104mg/m3, the co ncentration range.
2 Principles of the method
The vinyl chloride is directly injected with a syringe, and after being separated by a chromatographic column, it is measured by a hydrogen flame io nization detector, and is qualitatively determined by the retention time of the chromatographic peak and quantitatively by the peak height (or peak area).

4 Reagents and Materials
4.1 Chromatographic fixative: phenyl (50%) methyl silicone (OV17), chromatographic reagent.
4.2 Carrier: Diatom ±101 silanized 80~100 mesh.
4.3 Carrier gas: pure nitrogen (volume fraction of 99.99%).
4.4 Combustion gas: pure hydrogen (99.9% by volume).
4.5 Supporting gas: air.
4.6 Acetone: analytically pure.
4.7 Standard gas of vinyl chloride: 10~100mg/m3.
The dilution method of standard gas (refer to "Analysis Method for Air and Exhaust Gas Monitoring" (1990) P42).
Put a few teflon plastic sheets in a 100 ml all-glass syringe (pre-test air tightness and do not leak), the syringe co ntains a precise volume of air or nitrogen, and put a silicone rubber cap on the syringe mouth, as needed Using a small-volume syringe, accurately take a certain amount of standard gas, inject it into a 100 ml syringe, shake it, and make the plastic sheet vibrate repeatedly to make the mixture even. The dilution of each standard gas is repeated twice and the average value is taken, and the relative error should be less than 5%.
