以热导池为检测器的气相色谱法分析气体中一氧化碳和二氧化碳时只能检测到较高的含量,对于气体中μg级一氧化碳和二氧化碳的分析受热导池检测器检测限的影响热导池法不能满足分析要求,而一氧化碳和二氧化碳在氢焰检测器上又无响应,因此采用了甲烷转化炉,将一氧化碳和二氧化碳加氢转化成甲烷由氢焰检测器来检测。
常规的甲烷转化炉体积较大,安装既有气路系统,又有电路系统,操作复杂。随着气相色谱仪发展的小型化,传统甲烷转化炉显示不合适。

Gas chromatography with thermal co nductivity cell as the detector can o nly detect higher levels of carbon mo noxide and carbon dioxide in the gas. The analysis of μg carbon mo noxide and carbon dioxide in the gas is affected by the detection limit of the thermal co nductivity cell detector. Thermal co nductivity cell method The analysis requirements cannot be met, and carbon mo noxide and carbon dioxide have no respo nse on the hydrogen flame detector. Therefore, a methane reformer is used to co nvert carbon mo noxide and carbon dioxide into methane by the hydrogen flame detector.
The co nventional methane reformer has a large volume, and has both a gas circuit system and an electric circuit system, and the operation is complicated. With the development of miniaturization of gas chromatographs, traditio nal methane reformers are not suitable.
